About
The purpose of the Security Ministry is to provide a safe and peaceful environment for the congregation to worship. This ministry is purposefully and tactically placed throughout the church and all events sponsored by the church to protect and maintain order in the house of God.
Mission
The Security Ministry is committed to providing a safe place for the congregation to worship.
Vision
The vision of the ministry is to create a safe place for people to worship God, to have order, excellence and NO confusion while in worship at Union Bethel AME Church. We will accomplish this by training and equipping the men and women in the ministry with proper tools. This will allow the ministry to be able to grow and move forward with the vision of the house.
Ministry Requirements
A Criminal Background Check is required for all security team members. Once accepted into the Security Ministry, there is training to ensure that the principles of protection in a church environment, including the necessary sensitivity and focus of what is potentially at stake, are communicated. This training is to insure that all Security ministry members are aware of what is expected and working with the same mindset, which enhances security for all.
